Today, Saturday May 11, 2013, Corey went to visit a local showroom, buyer and seller, of classic cars, MS Classic Cars, located in Seekonk, MA. Before going, Corey talked to the owner, Marc Schiliro, about coming in to take photos of the current inventory. Luckily, it was a yes, as to the showroom is open to the public on Saturday’s, and he didn’t mind about the photos being taken. There were some really nice cars there, including Corey’s favorites, Ford Mustangs.

A little about MS CLassic Cars, and how it started, by Marc Schiliro:
“I’m living my dream!”
I was born on Aquidneck Island, located in Rhode Island, and have lived there my entire life (Aquidneck Island consists of Newport, Middletown and Portsmouth). Since I started driving in high school, my passion for cool cars has developed into an addiction- I had over 25 cars before I was 20 years old! After I graduated in 1996, I started selling new and used cars for the Autocenter Group where we offered BMW, VW, Mazda, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Suzuki. Over the years I grew with the company and learned a lot about the automotive business. In 2005 I landed a job at Viti Mercedes Benz in Tiverton, RI, and continued learning the ins and outs of the industry. Customer service is a major focus at Viti Mercedes Benz and because of this, Viti is one of the top dealerships in the country. Currently, I’m living my dream in beautiful Portsmouth, RI with my wife of 14 years, Jamie, and our two children, Samantha (born in 2005) and Ryan (born in 2008). My wife is a fantastic woman, mother and also a successful entrepreneur. In 2001 she opened her own pet grooming business called “The Pet Salon”. Her company has earned a great reputation on our beautiful little island.
Marc Schiliro (Owner)
Over 15 years ago I purchased my first classic car: a 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe. I enjoyed driving and showing it so much that I yearned for something even more fabulous, so eventually I sold it and purchased a 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback. I had the car restored to the first documented 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback E2 (Eleanor). This car won many car shows and was featured in multiple magazines and websites. Ultimately I sold this car within hours of it being listed for sale and this is what really started my classic car career. Since then, I’ve bought and sold numerous classic cars and trucks and I’ve continued to have many classic cars featured in magazines and multiple different websites. I’ve also had cars featured at various auctions including Barrett Jackson and I’m now considered one of Barrett Jackson’s top consignors.
My dream was to eventually open my own classic car dealership and finally that dream has come to fruition. It took many long days, late nights and some serious courage but I finally decided I was going to make it happen. It’s been my lifelong vision to be able to open this dealership to the public and share the love of classic cars with other enthusiasts. Something I’ve learned, in all the years I’ve been playing with classic cars, is that classic car enthusiasts are great people and they know the importance of a good reputation when dealing with a seller. I have worked long and hard to be a knowledgeable and reputable vendor and to offer the finest classic vehicles in the area. I look forward to the future of watching my dealership grow and welcoming everyone into my new facility!
